Town of Kennebunk – General Assistance

The Town of Kennebunk’s General Assistance office services the needs of the residents of Kennebunk by providing resources, information, and need-based support to individuals and families. General assistance is intended for people who are unable to provide food, shelter, utilities, fuel, clothing, and certain other essential items for themselves and their families. Community Outreach Services (Kennebunk)

COS has several programs that can assist residents in York County. The Kennebunk Community Food Pantry assists families and individuals in Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, Arundel, and Alfred with emergency food supplies. The pantry will provide people with a generous three-day supply of nonperishable food to any size family. There are no restrictions on who may receive assistance from the Food Pantry. COS also provides a heating fuel assistance program and a School Snack Program that offers children in need attending area schools with health snacks and lunches. YCCAC in Sanford, Maine provides a variety of social service, health, and educational programs to York County individuals and families living in poverty.
